Wedding Ceremony
Congratulations on your engagement, this will be a very exciting time for you both, deciding on your wedding date, location and a specialised celebrant to marry you will be the first of many things to book for your special wedding. I would personally like to recommend if you are looking for a small intimate island wedding have a look at Bedarra Island as this is where I had my wedding day and I still have beautiful memories of my most perfect wedding day.
Australia has so many stunning locations to choose from, Australian outback to vineyards, sunsets on white sandy beaches to lush tropical rainforests, even a friendly garden wedding at home can set the tone for a relaxed yet romantic day.
If marrying on a beach is where you would like to say your vows Tropical North Queensland has so many beautiful beach, rainforest and waterfall locations to choose from, some of which include Mission Beach, Etty Bay, Dunk Island, Palm Cove, Trinity Beach, Babinda Boulders, Josephine Falls and Cairns Esplanade.
Each have a large number of hotels for catering that I can suggest for your guests to stay and for the reception to be hosted. Cairns and the Tropical North has plenty of tropical beaches and rainforest and waterfall locations, all you will need to do is decide on which place you would like to marry and a date.
I would like to suggest for you to consider the weather conditions that Tropical North Queensland has as from January through until the end of April we can experience the wet season. May through until December can be breathtaking and just what you are wishing for. I have lived here in Cairns for the past 20 years and have a lot of local knowledge, please feel free to ask any questions that you may have especially if you are from interstate.
It is becoming more popular for couples to marry outside of their home town and making it a destination wedding to add to the experience for your guests and for you to remember for a life time. Some choose to make their wedding also their honeymoon with guests all to share a week of activities and end the week with the ceremony, others elope or bring their witnesses for an intimate ceremony.
There is no right way of designing your wedding, as it is all about your dreams, ideas and what you both want to create and I am here to assist in making it all happen with my experience we can work together for the ceremony to be as you want it to be. Location is important, so take time to choose your wedding location.
I have personally married couples all over Australia including the wineries at the Yarra Valley, Tivolli House in Sydney’s beautiful Rose Bay, a garden wedding in Freemantle Perth and the many locations in tropical North Queensland including famous Port Douglas, Oak Beach, Palm Cove Beach, Cairns Esplanade, Rainforest at Bellenden Ker, Mission Beach, Bedarra Island, Dunk Island and Townsville.

For me to travel to your destination wedding this will have to include costs of my return travel, accommodation and my service fee to conduct your ceremony.
